The Powhatan Public Library is chugging full STEAM ahead with more opportunities to learn and play!
The library recently launched their STEM Adventures program, in collaboration with the Powhatan Extension Office. STEM Adventures is aimed at ages 9-14 and has been happening on the fourth Friday of each month from 1:00 - 2:00 pm. registration IS required. Their most recent STEM Adventure involved learning all about electricity, including playing around with some snap circuit boards.
The Nature Lab program, in collaboration with the Powhatan State Park and Family Learning Adventures, is fun for the whole family to enjoy. Currently, the Nature Lab is a walk-through event that takes place on the first and third Wednesdays of each month from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm. Families are welcome stop by the library at any time in that window!
Their most recent Nature Lab event was all about trees that included live native tree saplings to take home and plant!
